Once a product is finished, the process disappears quickly. Rose & Snail did not arrive fully formed. We raised the viscosity, then lowered it. We checked fragrance in warm water and again after blow-drying. More moisture could weigh the coat down; too little made the soak feel unnecessary.

The coat was clean. Why did the bath still feel incomplete?
After bathing, visible flakes could remain on the skin and the coat could tangle again during drying. Dry-feeling skin and a rough coat looked like separate concerns, but both were happening inside the same bath.
We stopped asking only what ingredient to add and asked a more basic question: why does a dog's bath always begin with shampoo? A short, thorough soak before shampoo could prepare the skin and coat more gently.
Rather than promise hair growth, we designed the bathing environment that growing hair meets every day.
That preparation is pre-soaking. Warm spa solution wets the skin and coat for approximately five minutes before shampoo. References to softening visible flakes and buildup describe ingredient characteristics.
“Thicker because it contains snail” was not the answer.
At first, higher viscosity seemed to make the difference from ordinary bath water easier to see and feel.
In practice, an overly thick solution could cling in clumps, make rinsing harder and place unnecessary strain on the drain. If it was too thin, the intended spa experience disappeared.
We settled between those extremes: visible and tangible while in use, yet practical to rinse away when the bath is finished.
The formula had to be evaluated inside the tub.
We recorded color, viscosity, contact through the coat and what remained in the tub during real grooming-salon bathing routines.

Powder goes into the empty tub first. Lukewarm water from the shower pressure disperses it into a softly viscous, rose-colored solution. For about 10 L of water, use 15 g to keep the official ratio.
A process groomers can explain even when the owner did not watch it.
The change in the water makes the pre-soak visible. After drying, groomers also evaluated softness, shine, brushing and whether the coat still felt light.
How to add moisture without weighing the coat down.
More moisture made the conditioned feel clearer, but could reduce volume and a fresh finish. Too little made it hard to feel why a spa step had been added. Finding that balance took approximately one year of sample testing.
Snail secretion filtrate and betaine were selected for moisture conditioning, while hydrolyzed silk was selected to condition visible flakes and rough coat texture.
